Hey Barkada! Welcome Back!!! Joanna here, hoping all of you guys had a good month break from school. I also hope you guys are ready to get back into classes and hit those books. What better way to get back to school and start 2008 right [academically] than with ACADEMIC MONTH?!?! That's right, there isn't a better way...I mean unless you get a full scholarship or something that will cover all of your college education, or something of that nature. Back to the point... Tuesdays and Thursdays throughout the month of January, Barkada will be having academic workshops in support of ACADEMIC MONTH! These workshops will be very beneficial, no lie, but it only works if you show up. Hoy hoy hoy!!! Check me out...posting my first News Blog. Pretty exciting!!!! Alright, so if you guys don't know me yet, my name is Joanna Tecson and I am this ACADEMIC year's Barkada ACADEMICS CHAIR...emphasis on ACADEMICS!!!! Academically, Barkada has so much to offer you this year. Just a general overview, we've got the Kuya/Ate program underway, study sessions, Academic Month, Alumni Banquet, and P-Grad. I know most you are thinking, "Say whaaaa'?" It's ok, I'll explain more about all these things as they happen during the year. As of now, our Kuya/Ate program is starting up. Make sure to attend this weeks general Barkada meeting Thursday, Oct 11, 2007. At the meeting I'll be talking more about the program and what it has to offer. Also at the meeting I will have the forms you can fill out so we can start matching you with your Kuya/Ate/Ading right away! I really hope to see you guys there.
